Review: Quite Simply, One of the Best Adult Films Ever, 3AM" is a return to the days when adult films had plots, actors and actresses in them had some degree of acting talent, and directors cared about their craft. The video box for the cassette version of this film tries to hide the fact that it is a 70's film by displaying fake names of the cast members and showing a picture of a woman who is not even in the film - in fact, she may only have been a baby when the film was made. "3AM" is from the same director as "Erika's Hot Summer", a softcore feature that is a complete throwback to 1970 and is quite surreal and dreamlike. "3AM" is, of course, a hardcore porn film, and so at least in part you know what to expect. What you may not expect is an especially good acting performance by Georgina Splevin as the film's protagonist, and while the rest of the cast is not as good as Ms. Splevin, their acting is light years ahead of the average porn star, and is much, much superior to anyone appearing in adult films today. And the director did not forget that this is an erotic film, and he has included several highly erotic, sexually charged scenes that almost scorch the screen! The voyeurism scene and the surprise lesbian encounter in the shower are two scenes that truly sizzle. So if you are looking for an adult film that won't insult your intelligence, look no further than "3AM".
