Without Paulinho's address, Onofre has to sleep on the sidewalk and beg for food until he meets the musician Carlinhos Lyra who, using the television broadcast, helps him to find Paulinho. Onofre is welcomed by Paulinho and his friends in Ipanema beach but the newcomer is clumsy and unfamiliar with the local habits so he is mocked by his new friends. But the young man's talents in bed attracts the attention of all the local women, including his cousin's girlfriend Patricia, who wants to comfort him. Paulinho breaks relations with Onofre. Alone, he survives on odd jobs that help him pay for a dance course and, after completing the course, Onofre is invited by his teacher Liz to perform a show at a trendy disco. The show is successful but despite his achievement, Onofre continues to be the victim of successive misadventures as Paulinho and his friends, jealous and believing that Onofre is a threat to them, plot a scheme to get rid off Onofre

When Mauro realizes what is happening between his wife and the boys, in a fit of fury, he tries to kill her but is stopped by his family. Following with the plan, they take him to the railway terminal where they intend to lock him in a wagon, set it on fire and kill him making it look like an accident.
