("I'll strangle him with his camera strap!") Annette laughs her evil laugh and we cut to a closeup of her cracking a walnut. (Wow! Symbolism!) Ricky's nuts are indeed in a ringer. He can't get any work now and must shoot porno for Scum magazine. This leads to "sticky" situations. In the climax, Ricky (with help from turd burglar ERIC EDWARDS) gets revenge on Annette via an eyeopening double penetration. Doogan's Woman sports great production values which sets it apart from the usual bottom-of-the-barrel porno. Worth mentioning is the scene with SHARON MITCHELL and Eric Edwards making it in a bathtub filled with spaghetti. This segment blows away the food scene in 9 1/2 Weeks and (depending on your "tastes") will make you hungry, horny, or a vegetarian on the spot ---A fashion photographer runs into trouble when he meets Annette, a scheming gold digger who has gotten her hooks into his publisher boss. She sabotages his career by seducing him and then telling the publisher she was assaulted. Annette laughs her evil laugh and we cut to a close-up of her cracking a walnut. Soon the photographer is reduced to shooting smut for "Scum Magazine", but he gets his revenge. Brindle, P.1., Rumpleton and Fitila race against time and the other treasure seekers. daughter Heidi Ho and her boyfriend Dr. Alvin Topsy and his mentor, the famous French sleuth, Inspector Cleausneau and a third team of two bumbling tax collectors. Into the wee hours of the night they study the film over and over again. Brindle and P.L. suggest that the four of them act out the hard core antics in the film to get the feeling of the thing and discover emotionally the clues. The orgy commences and continues on and on. The tax collectors carefully watch the houses of the other teams. Inspecotr Cleausneau also trains his eyes on the details of the super hot porno loop and its Inner meanings. The tax men get stranded In the desert without gas and bock home Rumpleton evolves into what his brother wished him to be.. .a great porno film director. The last wishes of Richardson Miles have been realized, just as he know they would be ---A pornographic filmmaker dies, and his last will and testament is shown to his survivors in the form of a self-made film. In the film, he tells them that he is going to show them a porn "loop" (short film) that contains clues to the location of his fortune, and whoever solves the mystery and finds the hidden treasure will get his entire fortune. In this way, the lucky winner will avoid paying an inheritance tax. Besides his immediate survivors -- a twin brother, a nephew, and a daughter -- two inheritance tax agents are present at the will's "viewing", and all of them join in the treasure hunt, the two agents hoping for a promotion if they find the loot. The twin brother and his wife join forces with the nephew and his girlfriend, and the four of them act out scenes in the porn loop, hoping to discover the clues by mimicking the various sexual encounters. The typical San Francisco orgy provides relief for her tensions and frees her puritanistic views on sex. This Lowell Pickett cult classic has a lot going for it. An arty jazz score, a little tribute to Tennessee Williams, erotic build-up to the sex scenes, no overindulgence of graphic genitalia close-ups and not one single external cum shot. Many people complain about spurting ejaculations all over the place. Others want more. It is a producer's dilemma, but the trend of the eighties is to tone them down somewhat. This film made in 1973, is one of the few that does not use them. Overlook some weak acting moments and enjoy some artistic, erotic, tender sex scenes.
