I love eating at this one restaurant. It is a labor of love for a very talented chef. He seems to have many satisfied customers. Sometimes, I don_t enjoy a particular ingredient that he chooses. And sometimes, he does not make the food spicy enough for my taste buds. But usually his dishes are the best I can find in my city. I know that I have never run a restaurant, nor spent much time in a kitchen, but I still have plenty of opinions on how he can make his food better. He should pass out comment cards. Olivia Pelton makes her return to Zishy. Out of the blue, she contacted me asking if I could take some headshots for an upcoming audition she wanted to nail. I said of course, as long as we could also get more photos of her for my site. Happily, she accepted. Back when I was in college, I came up with a strange idea whilst drinking with friends. I saw pretty girls walking around and I saw a bullhorn that we had acquired through questionable means and it dawned on me that we could become the neighborhood_s thong patrol. I am not sure where this is going but these photos of Olivia reminded me of that unsuccessful night. Thankfully, these days I minimize the ass-making of myself by just avoiding alcohol altogether.

Bree Abernathy and I decided to roll to the neighborhood bowling alley on this lovely afternoon. Bay Shore Lanes in Santa Monica was very hospitable. Within 5 minutes of arriving, we were told that we could not take photos. Perfect. For some reason, I never have good luck at this type of venue. Perhaps it is because of the privileged society that frequents a joint where you roll heavy balls at pins and drink beer. Nevertheless, I agreed with the young employee that delivered the mandate. It_s great to meet generous people who will let you borrow their amber store for risque photos. This town is mostly built off of amber. I have never been east of Moscow. So when Gene, a photographer in Khabarovsk, hit me up saying he could find models there, I jumped. Gene_s regular style is more refined and posed, but he was also willing to try new things. He took Darya Nosenko out on the streets early in the morning and captured some daring nude images. Besides spending time with family and stuffing ourselves with heavy food, we are also called to reflect on the good fortunes of the last 12 months. For me, 2013 has been a year of trials. The most noteworthy were that I was laid off from my full-time job, lost a dear friend and mentor to illness, and moved to a new area. Just the same, I have plenty to be thankful for.
