Five Michigan officials - including the head of the state health department - have been charged with manslaughter for their role in the Flint water crisis. They_re accused of failing to alert the public of an outbreak of Legionnaires_ disease linked to the town_s water supply. Problems started happening after officials switched the water supply from the city of Detroit to the Flint river, without checking for pipe corrosion. The tainted water resulted in more than 100 illnesses and a dozen fatalities. We all know that fried foods are bad for our health, but fried POTATOES might be the worst of the lot A new study has found that eating fried spuds two or more times a week DOUBLES your risk of an early death Mainly because taters are often cooked in oil rich in trans-fat, which is dangerous for heart health. The suspect list is still apparently hundreds of people long, but if anyone can narrow it down, it_s the CIA and the FBI According to sources, they_re looking for a CIA employee who would_ve had physical access to the leaked documents. As for what led them to give the info to WikiLeaks, Director of the CIA Mike Pompeo did NOT pull his punches in a recent speech. Hard to disagree with that assessment We definitely live in interesting times...especially with the leak seeming more and more confirmed It_s pretty common for someone to steal a car, but it_s pretty UNCOMMON for a COUNTRY to steal a car PLANT But according to General Motors, that_s exactly what happened to one of its plants in Venezuela The country is in a state of political unrest right now and GM says their plant was seized by local authorities. GM has stopped all production at the facility and says they will be taking all possible legal actions. The US Navy and Marine Corps love their regulations, and thankfully, they_ve got another one for their list. Here she is to give us a preview in Naked at the Movies Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2 is the best thing to happen to film geeks and geek geeks in recent memory, but it has me feeling like a nerd traitor On May the 4th, when all good nerds are supposed to be thinking about Star Wars, my heart and mind were with a galaxy not so long ago and not so far away Yes, the gang is back Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, and Rocket are up to their old tricks in a brand new adventure, proving if it ain_t broke, don_t fix it And there are even some upgrades Besides a deeper story and the addition of Kurt Russell, now that the franchise is a proven hit, the much talked about soundtrack from the first go-round is arguably topped this time If you haven_t already purchased the soundtrack, with songs including Mr. Blue Sky, Fox on the Run and Surrender, you_re going to want to But of course, it_s the characters we love most of all, and there_s an upgrade there too Fond as I was of Groot, there_s no denying the superiority of Baby Groot I know some people would be disappointed, but if voicing those characters was all Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel did for the rest of their careers, I_d be totally satisfied And if YOU want to be totally satisfied, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is in theaters now.
