Description:
Megan Salinas is visiting LA, doing some modeling, picking up some spare change, yada yada. She is from Plano, TX. My home state. Although, I have now been in LA for almost 11 years, which makes up a third of my life. So I declare with confidence that California is now my home, specifically, this City of Angels. Megan Salinas is an angel, but she has a feisty exterior. She used to run cross country in high school. She kept telling me that she_s no baby, that her running days were far in the past. But the girl is barely eighteen. I suppose its difficult for one to be objective about their age. She had just purchased these new kicks and so I made it a point to show them off. Pierce College graciously hosted us and gave us a pleasant surprise with its fogging fountain.

Carrie Barber and I visited Barton Springs in the peak of chigger season. I hate chiggers. They are so rude. First off, they are nearly impossible to see with the naked eye. They sneak onto their host and head straight for any warm spots, like the belt line or crotch. People don_t usually notice these pests until days after their bites have digested the skin_s surface and developed into a red itchy lesion. Sometimes chiggers will even break into your Dodge Avenger and rob you of your CD collection. Watch out for chiggers

Zishy.com- July September Girl With Red Pearls




Description:
Here is a followup to the previous gallery of July September. This woman is as genuine as they come. She welcomed me into her studio apartment in Koreatown and we shot for a couple of hours. After, we drove to Santa Monica and took some great pics near the pier. But unfortunately, somehow I erased all the data on that memory card. I could cry about it or just do better at avoiding those failures in the future. So I cried. Shit happens. Enjoy your weekend.

Tilly Hannon is a fellow-photographer who came to Los Angeles to photograph bands for some indie record label. She is creative and thoughtful. We took these pics at a house in Echo Park where she was renting a room. The decor is retro but that seems to suit Tilly perfectly since all of her personal styling is a homage to days past.

That_s right. Back in the day, I used to rent a studio space about a half mile away from my home in Santa Monica. Although it was convenient and made certain things a lot simpler, the environment was too sterile and lifeless for me. So these days, I photograph girls at their homes or at a generous friend_s place. However, while I had the photo studio, I was able to shoot some very attractive girls. Molly Berardi is one of them. She is chic and has quite the body for modeling. Enjoy this blast from the past (shot circa 2009).

Zishy.com- Romi And Raylene Bed Bugs Pt 2




Description:
I was first fascinated with Romi and Raylene because they were so similar. I pondered what it must be like to have a duplicate of myself to walk with through life. But after spending time with the twins, I am more fascinated by their differences and how these two individuals work together as a team. In some way, all humans are twins with quite similar DNA, right? We can either let our differences separate us or we can focus on the similarities of our journey. Obviously, I need to give some photographer credits to Romi and Raylene. I believe they are the first people to have snapped photos for Zishy, other than myself.
