Huntsman was handed a 20 years prison sentence and fined 60 MILLION dollars. And, forget the recent concert cancellations -proponents of the religious freedom laws are about to get hit where it REALLY hurts As of Monday, porn site XHamster has BANNED users from North Carolina from accessing its site. A company spokesperson called the new laws discriminatory. In a surprising twist, the site revealed that North Carolinians might be more open-minded than we think. Congrats The FBI is reportedly investigating FIFA boss Sepp Blatter for his role in a 100 million dollar bribery scandal In the 1990s, sports marketing company ISL paid 100 million for TV and marketing rights in matches throughout the 1990s. Blatter has always denied having any knowledge of or involvement in those payments. We talked about how badly the Emmys bombed earlier this week and now we basically know why.I know a lot of people put the blame on Andy Samberg as host for the ratings disaster, but it sounds like you_ve got ANOTHER reason up your sleeve.Well I WATCHED the Emmys and thought Samberg did a great job. Unfortunately due to a certain LIVE program on NBC, it wouldn_t have mattered WHO was the host. Here_s why. The big ratings juggernaut last week was was none other THAN, drum roll please...Sunday Night Football. More than 26 MILLION people tuned in to watch the Green Bay Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks on NBC. Everyone_s been talking about how bad the Emmys ratings were and putting the blame on Andy Samberg as host. The show only managed to pull in 12 million people, the lowest in the history of the broadcast. Unfortunately that_s just tough luck for Samberg because NO SHOW, scripted or not, can compete against the NFL. I blame the schedulers If you like playing amateur detective, then you_re going to love NBC_s newest show The network is currently developing a live-action version of its popular Law & Order franchise _You The Jury_ will feature real-life civil cases argued LIVE during the broadcast. Viewers will be asked to vote on the verdict, as well as offer their opinions of witness reliability and weigh in on evidence. I_m no expert, but all clues point to this one being a HITLiam Neeson_s popular Taken film franchise is heading to the SMALL screen. NBC has ordered an adaptation based on the action films. Neeson WON_T be appearing, as the new program will focus on a much younger version of his character. The story will explain how a young Bryan Mills came to acquire the expert skills he demonstrates so well later in life. Audiences can expected to be TAKEN IN by the series sometime next year. British tough guy Jason Statham will star and executive produce in a new hour long action thriller called Viva La Madness. Statham will play a man stranded in the Caribbean who wants to return to the life of crime he left behind. The big hitch is that he_s still wanted for his crimes, which makes returning to England a little more difficult than anticipated. So far, there_s no network attached to the project, but we promise to keep you updatedAnd the new Twin Peaks reboot just got a little sexier Amanda Seyfried has been added to the cast in what sources are calling a pivotal role. Amanda joins indie actor Balthazar Getty and original Twin Peaks cast member Kyle MacLachlan for the top secret project. Show runner David Lynch is filming the entire series as one long movie that will be broken up into individual episodes. You can catch it when it airs sometime in 2016 on Showtime. Here she is with a Naked News Bulletin. Isabella we_ll begin in North Korea where the regime of leader Kim Jong Un is making some serious threats against the US. The government there has just released a report claiming they had the capability to wipe out all of MANHATTAN using a hydrogen bomb. The North Korean leader was quoted as saying that his scientists have developed nuclear warheads small enough to fit on ballistic missiles. While nuclear testing by North Korea HAS been confirmed, experts don_t believe that it currently involves anything as advanced as a hydrogen bomb. A US whistleblower is claiming that Volkswagen execs spent DAYS, illegally DESTROYING documents relating to the emissions testing scandal. Daniel Donovan worked in the company_s Detroit, Michigan office and says that he was FIRED for refusing to help delete evidence. In his lawsuit, Donovan alleges the cover-up started on the same day the Environmental Protection Agency filed charges against the company. A spokesperson for Volkswagen called the allegations without merit. And, it_s not the image most people would want to associate with their breakfast cereal The US Food and Drug Administration is investigating after a video recently surfaced online of a man URINATING on a Kellogg assembly line According to the food giant, the video was taken at a factory in Memphis, Tennessee in 2014. They also said that any possible contaminated products would now be expired. The company has since issued an apology on its official Twitter account and promised to cooperate fully with authorities. More than 26 MILLION people tuned in to watch the Green Bay Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks on NBC. Everyone_s been talking about how bad the Emmys ratings were and putting the blame on Andy Samberg as host. The show only managed to pull in 12 million people, the lowest in the history of the broadcast. Unfortunately that_s just tough luck for Samberg because NO SHOW, scripted or not, can compete against the NFL. I blame the schedulers If you like playing amateur detective, then you_re going to love NBC_s newest show The network is currently developing a live-action version of its popular Law & Order franchise _You The Jury_ will feature real-life civil cases argued LIVE during the broadcast. Viewers will be asked to vote on the verdict, as well as offer their opinions of witness reliability and weigh in on evidence. I_m no expert, but all clues point to this one being a HITLiam Neeson_s popular Taken film franchise is heading to the SMALL screen. NBC has ordered an adaptation based on the action films. Neeson WON_T be appearing, as the new program will focus on a much younger version of his character. The story will explain how a young Bryan Mills came to acquire the expert skills he demonstrates so well later in life. Audiences can expected to be TAKEN IN by the series sometime next year. British tough guy Jason Statham will star and executive produce in a new hour long action thriller called Viva La Madness. Statham will play a man stranded in the Caribbean who wants to return to the life of crime he left behind. The big hitch is that he_s still wanted for his crimes, which makes returning to England a little more difficult than anticipated. So far, there_s no network attached to the project, but we promise to keep you updatedAnd the new Twin Peaks reboot just got a little sexier Amanda Seyfried has been added to the cast in what sources are calling a pivotal role. Amanda joins indie actor Balthazar Getty and original Twin Peaks cast member Kyle MacLachlan for the top secret project. Show runner David Lynch is filming the entire series as one long movie that will be broken up into individual episodes. You can catch it when it airs sometime in 2016 on Showtime. Here she is with a Naked News Bulletin. Isabella we_ll begin in North Korea where the regime of leader Kim Jong Un is making some serious threats against the US. The government there has just released a report claiming they had the capability to wipe out all of MANHATTAN using a hydrogen bomb. The North Korean leader was quoted as saying that his scientists have developed nuclear warheads small enough to fit on ballistic missiles. While nuclear testing by North Korea HAS been confirmed, experts don_t believe that it currently involves anything as advanced as a hydrogen bomb. A US whistleblower is claiming that Volkswagen execs spent DAYS, illegally DESTROYING documents relating to the emissions testing scandal. Daniel Donovan worked in the company_s Detroit, Michigan office and says that he was FIRED for refusing to help delete evidence. In his lawsuit, Donovan alleges the cover-up started on the same day the Environmental Protection Agency filed charges against the company. A spokesperson for Volkswagen called the allegations without merit. And, it_s not the image most people would want to associate with their breakfast cereal The US Food and Drug Administration is investigating after a video recently surfaced online of a man URINATING on a Kellogg assembly line According to the food giant, the video was taken at a factory in Memphis, Tennessee in 2014. They also said that any possible contaminated products would now be expired. The company has since issued an apology on its official Twitter account and promised to cooperate fully with authorities. President Obama touched down in Cuba this weekend, marking the first time a sitting US president has visited the communist island since 1928. He met up with Cuban leader Raul Castro on Monday to discuss trade and political reform. He also plans to meet separately with political dissidents of the Cuban government. The visit is part of the Obama administration_s campaign to renew US-Cuban relations after a 50-year trade embargo. Another sign of strengthening ties: US businesses are lining up to get a piece of the action Starwood Hotels has announced plans to take over the operations of THREE existing Cuban hotels. The company says it will use locally sourced materials to offer an authentic experience. Fellow hotelier Marriott International is also in discussions to gain a foothold, while home rental website Airbnb says it has now had 4000 listings since it launched in Cuba last year. And, according to a new global risk assessment, a Donald Trump presidency is one of the BIGGEST dangers facing the world right now The report from research firm the Economist Intelligence Unit warns that a Trump White House COULD disrupt the economy, as well as raise political and security risks for the US. The prospect of a President Trump was EVEN rated higher than the risks associated with the UK leaving the European Union.
